The Divisional Secretary deals with most of the casework in Somerset with assistance from professional staff from the SW Regional Office in Exeter. The Divisional Secretary will also consult and negotiate with the Somerset LEA on matters of education, pay and conditions of service.
The National Executive Member deals with the national Policy for the NUT.
